In the clubhouse, which has just received a complete refurbishment,
there is a large polished wooden floored hall with access to
a basic kitchen and Ladies and Gents toilets and glass frontage
all along one wall looking out onto the beach and the Firth of
Thames. Both the Ladies and Gents toilets have showers. There
is also a lounge/bar area with comfortable seating and glass
frontage doors to a closed deck shelterd under a sail shade.
From the deck is a staircase which leads up to a balcony area
with railing which has extensive views of the Firth of Thames
and reserve.
There are many long tables and chairs available to set up
for banquet style eating, as well as more casual chairs and smaller
round tables for the lounge/bar area.
There is ample car parking space as well as a fairly large
grassy area for rigging boats.
Launching is from either a concrete slip beside the clubhouse
or direct from the beach in front of the carpark and clubhouse.
A race tower is positioned upstairs looking out onto the Firth
of Thames where the Race Officer can conduct the racing and patrol
boats.
The club also has storage for approximately 20-25 small dinghies
and 2-3 patrol boats.
Our club is available for hire for social functions such
as birthdays, weddings and parties as well as sailing regattas.
